Why hasn't anyone mentioned that Ashcroft resigned? (besides jashcroft) Isn't that something to fucking JUMP FOR JOY about? I mean, holy shit yes!

Yea I did see that,and the question of why it was n't a bigger deal crossed my mind. Guess I didn't care because his replacement can only be slightlybetter.

I was hoping tension between the neoconservatives and Christians like Ashcroft was going to tear the administration apart. While Ashcroft was pretty awful, this does put them one step closer to ideological purity in the White Hozny.

His proposed replacement is the Bush lawyer that called the Geneva Conventions "quaint" and suggested that torture of "enemy combatants" was acceptable.
